Cupertino based Apple has launched the iCloud.com Beta and iWork Beta for iPad and iPhone developers. The beta version will allow iOS app developers to test the iCloud functionality in their apps. iOS developer program members can setup and prepare their applications for the service.
Apple’s iCloud service will allow iOS device owners to store their content like music, photos, documents, apps, calendars etc., and will provide them access on all the devices.
Apple has also announced the pricing for iCloud storage services. Users will get 5GB of free storage, and additional storage choices will cost as follows:
• 10GB, $20/year
• 20GB, $40/year
• 50GB, $100/year
Purchased content such as apps, music, and books etc., alongwith Photo Stream, will exclude the free 5GB storage.
The iCloud service is expected to be released this fall.
