Apple has released iOS 5.1 Beta and Xcode 4.3 for iPad and iPhone app developers. The latest iOS SDK 5.1 provides support for developing applications for iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone and includes the complete set of Xcode tools, compilers, and frameworks including the Xcode IDE and the Instruments analysis tool.
The iOS 5.1 beta will allow iPad and iPhone app developers to build apps for Apple devices running iOS 5.1. App developers can also test their newly-built application using the included iOS simulator in the software.
What has attracted attention of iPhone developers and experts is the reference of iPad 3, 3 and iPad 2, 4 on the Beta. There are also references to the hugely anticipated iPhone 5 which has been codenamed iPhone 5, 1 in the iOS 5.1 beta.
The references for iPhone 5 with recent rumors of Apple’s next iPhone having a 4 inches screen rather than 3.5 inches has further fueled expectations in the market.
Apple has released the 5th beta version of its soon-to-be launched operating system iOS 5 for iPad and iPhone developers. The iOS 5 beta 5 has build number 9A5288d. The latest beta version is available as OTA update but iOS app developers are required to erase all content and recommended backing up their device before installing it.
The latest beta version only fixes bugs and has no major upgrade from the previous version.
Apple has released beta 4 of iOS 5 two weeks back. The iOS 5 is expected to be released in September coinciding with the release of Apple’s next generation iPhone 5.
Cupertino based iPhone maker Apple has rolled out a new beta version of its latest operating system iOS 5. In the new version, Apple seems to have fixed a few bugs in addition to enabling wireless sync for Mac. Registered iPad and iPhone developers of Apple’s developer program can download the iOS 5 beta 2 version.
iOS 5 is expected to be released in the fall concurrently with the release of Apple’s next generation iPhone 5.
TechCrunch reports that Apple may unveil iOS 5 at its Worldwide Developers Conference but the operating system version will be released in the fall. Techcrunch claims that it has got the latest news on iOS 5 from two strong sources.
The new iOS will be built around Cloud technology and may see new services such as cloud based hosting and location based offerings. Rumors are also circulating that the iOS 5 release in the Fall would be accompanied by the release of iPad 3 or third generation of Tablet from Apple.
If the reports are true then it seems Apple is moving from its usual strategy of introducing iOS software with iPhone launches.
